What a Crazy Life!

These past weeks few weeks have been nothing short of eventful! I would love to tell you the long story, but for the sake of time (mine and yours) I'm simply going to share with you all the changes that have happened and where this is taking me.

Tomorrow at 12:45 pm I will leave Kona Hawaii and fly to Honolulu. I will be there for four days, spending time with my aunt and uncle, resting, relaxing and being spoiled (oh how I'm looking forward to that)! :)  When I leave  Honolulu I will head to Great Falls, MT aka Home. I will be spending close to a week in MT. One crazy, busy, hectic week full of family, friends, coffee and general merry-making.

I am so ready to be back home with everyone. It's been a long four months and I miss that more than anyone should after only four months. :)

I will be flying out of Great Falls on the 15th or 16th and headed to.............. wait for it........................ Madison WI.

What the heck is in Madison you ask?  Well, I will tell you.

I have been asked to staff a DTS at the YWAM base in Madison. I will be staff their summer University DTS (for those of you who aren't familiar with YWAM and DTS and all this strange jargon, you can go to www.ywam.org) which takes place in the house they own on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. I am very excited about this. Since coming to Hawaii I've had a strong desire to staff a dts and am so glad that it's happening now.

After the summer DTS I'm not positive on what I'll be doing but, more than likely, I will be living in the campus house and working with university students. University students live in the house throughout the school year and they typically have two staff living there working with the students doing discipleship, mentoring, and outreach. This is a ministry dream come true for me!

I have known since I was 17 that I am called to work with college-aged students and this is such a wonderful opportunity. Not only that, but I will have to opportunity to put into practice a lot of what I learned in the Church Pioneering School last quarter.

This is a wonderful time of change and new things for me. I am so excited God's hand is so evident in this! My family will be moving to Madison in the summer as my step-dad just accepted a job with a hospital outside of Madison. It's going to be great to be working with YWAM and have my family in the same city! I feel so blessed!

In order to do this though, I have to raise money. Like with my time here in Hawaii, I am responsible for paying my expenses. The leadership at YWAM Madison requires that all $500 pledged monthly support. Right now I have two people who have committed to supporting me with $50 a month each. I am praying that God will put in the hearts of more people to help me out with this. I am going to be a full-time missionary working on a university campus and though I will not be in the slums of India or the jungles of South America, what I will be doing is no less significant. God is raising up young people in the US to follow Him with abandon and He asking us to go where they are at and reach them with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Please consider supporting me financially! If 10 people commit to giving $50/month (that's not much at all guys!) I'll have my support raised. If you want to help out at all ($10/month is so good too!!) please let me know in the comments and I'll get in touch with you.

Stay tuned for more ramblings and updates!!!

:)
